TRAVELS
Meanders, sharing photos of things and places that resonate, hum with an energy or recall a particular memory. I’m strictly an amateur photographer but do like to document the places, people, and things that strike my fancy.

In September 2006 I traveled with family members to Switzerland. We visited relatives in several areas including Lucerne, Zofingen, and Glarus.
NEW YORK CITY
I’ve been traveling to New York City on a regular basis since 2004 when I took my first trip after sitting in the driveway listening to “Rodelinda” broadcast “Live from the Met” on Wisconsin Public Radio. It’s one of my favorite places – from running around Central Park to visiting The Lower East Side.
I was lucky to be able to spend Christmas and New Years in France with friends in 2014. The first week in Paris was sublime – running along The Seine in the morning, a coffee and a croissant while the city began to hum, so many museums, and The Marais. The second week was an adventure – traveling from Alsace through the Loire Valley and up through Normandy.
My first trip abroad was to Ireland in 2003 – biking with a friend around County Kerry and to the Dingle Peninsula. I returned in 2013 to visit new friends in Dublin and nearby towns.
I visited Tempe in May 2015 for a conference at ASU. Luckily on my last day in town I had time for a sunrise hike in Papago State Park and a chance to explore the Hayden Flour Mill.
